You Tube Video Of My Twin Pregnancy & Postpartum Belly Pictures Flagged & Age-Restricted. Are They NUTS?
My beautiful bambinos are 4 years, 10 months, 1 week & 5 days old.
I am ticked off. I said it…TICKED OFF! Yesterday I got a notice in my inbox that I thought was solely saying that somebody flagged one of my pregnancy & postpartum belly picture videos. I figured once reviewed surely You Tube would say there was absolutely zero reason for it to have been flagged, as the things I have seen on You Tube that have NOT been age-restricted has flat out shocked me and scared me with my own children who wish to watch harmless videos on Tube. The things I have watched them innocently stumble on and have had to change for them. I’ll get into that in a minute. But the email WAS siding with the flagger, I couldn’t believe what I was reading.
It relayed this message. ”YouTube is not the place for nudity, pornography or other sexually provocative content. YouTube makes limited exceptions for appropriate educational, documentary, artistic and scientific contexts, but only in limited circumstances where the purpose of posting is clear and any nudity it is not sexual in nature.” Show me where ANY of my photos are sexual in nature. If some perverts find a pregnant belly sexual that is THEIR problem, not mine. It is beautiful and normal, and I honestly don’t care for anybody under 18 to be watching my videos. They are not my target audience, except for our family vids and challenges, but it just ticks me off because I am not nude here and doing anything sexual in the least. How come they are not age-restricting the other billion videos of bare pregnant bellies and women in bikinis and/or boyshorts? If they did.. FINE!
Showing women that there is some hope to recover their bodies from a twin pregnancy, as some do wish to know, to me, is not wrong at all. I am proud of what my body accomplished, and would have been proud regardless of how I looked thereafter. I would have posted photos regardless. Pregnancy is beautiful, and yes even battle scars are beautiful because of what they were created by.. beautiful life!
I can look at almost anything on You Tube without confirming that I am 18 and over. I can see girls oil wrestling in way less than I was wearing in my video. I can see women giving birth with their vaginas showing without confirming my age, which I think birthing a baby is beautiful, but it should be age restricted. It is nothing I want my young children to see. It would scare them. There is plenty that has to do with actual sex and has pictures and video clips of a clearly sexual not artistic or beautiful nature that are not flagged and not restricted, so why mine? Can anybody tell me why? Below is the video in question. What am I doing that is disturbing and sexual and ‘dirty’ in nature here?
I honestly have been thinking lately about why more videos aren’t age-restricted? I don’t think I have ever come across one, so that is why I am taking huge offense here. If like videos were also restricted (and worse ones by a country mile) then fine, but they are NOT. So this feels personal, and it angers me because of this fact. Case in point. One day my twin daughters are innocently watching Frozen videos. They always want me to type in playdoh videos and Anna & Elsa stuff. The playdoh Anna & Elsa Snow Dome video somehow led them to a video I peeked in on and saw them looking at. Anna & Elsa making out together, full throttle, in cartoon form. That sickened me. That was NOT age-restricted. I took the iPad and then clicked on another video away from the children. It showed Christoff sticking something between either Anna or Elsa’s (I can’t remember) mostly bare breasts! THAT was not age-restricted. Nor was Anna & Elsa’s little treck through Grand Theft Auto world, where I saw them getting stabbed.. blood everywhere. Luckily, that was on my own search, however, little kids are looking up innocent things and easily being led to smut like THAT! You Tube isn’t age-restricting that kind of content? COME ON!
I saw a video of sexual positions that popped up after watching something non-sexual and THAT was not age-restricted. What I am saying is that I don’t mind them doing this, as again, I don’t care for kids to watch my pregnant belly videos, though it is not perverse or sexual in any way. It is beautiful, but apparently You Tube does not agree with that. I wish I knew how to complain, but I do not. But again, I don’t mind this, as long as I AM NOT THE SOLE TARGET HERE! RESTRICT ALL LIKE VIDEOS AND THESE OTHER VIDEOS THAT CLEARLY SHOULD BE FLAGGED AND RESTRICTED! IT IS NOT FAIR YOU TUBE! (Yes, I put all caps on purpose because I feel very strongly about this.)
OK, thanks for allowing me my time here today to rant about You Tube. Such complete and utter hypocrites. Pregnancy is a beautiful thing but they are seeing my pregnancy and after body as something dirty and/or pornographic, based on what I am reading from the above statement in their email to me. That is just damn sad.
What do you think? Take the poll below and tell me.
