The twinkettes are 5 years, 2 months, 1 week & 5 days old.
This is the vlog of the twins’ 1st time ever up on stage. I was just praying for no freeze ups. Last June at their gymnastic show, and it wasn’t even on a stage, with only like 7 people watching, Allie totally froze up and refused to go on. They were consoling her and trying to get her on, but it took over 1/2 the show to get her out there and going. Annie was left crying for her sister for the first 10 minutes. It was awful! I was soooo afraid that something would happen here, but to my great surprise they went on, and they didn’t freeze up or run off the stage. Allie had a little collision with a fellow dancer, but it didn’t stop her (thankfully.)
They are the youngest and least experienced in the group. They never performed in a recital before like the others did. I didn’t care about how well they danced that night, just that they both went on, and they did do that! YAY! It was super cute, and I am so proud of them. In 3 weeks from now for the ‘real deal’ I predict they will go on once more and do even better. Then in June at their VIP show again for gymnastics, I am praying for the same. Not quite sure what happened last June. (Check my You Tube channel for that video.)
It ended up well, but it was still a tough battle getting there.
Allie is VERY spunky and brazen and even bossy at times, but she caves under pressure a lot and gets all shy in unfamiliar situations. She should really be on TV because she is super hysterical without ever even trying like people tell me I am, but the faces she makes along with it are just priceless and funny in and of themselves. A mini-Betty White, if you will. Maybe she will have her own You Tube channel someday or show. Maybe they all will.. shyness set aside. Annie is definitely less shy, and Allie feels safer when together with her, despite not always being so nice to her co-twin. You definitely know that there is a bond no matter what.
So they didn’t remember all of the steps, no worries. I was so proud of what they did the other night, and I love you Allie & Annie!!! God surely did double bless me. I wish I could have seen that 5 and 1/2 years ago when I was pregnant. I know now what I didn’t know then. Enjoy the full slideshow of their recital pro-pics after the show.
