Twin Telepathy Go Away!

18 months & 3.5 wks. old.

 

 

I know, I know, I asked for It.  But now that it’s here kindly go away please!  I’m talking about the telepathy between twins.  I wanted to see more of the twin bond, and though they still fight there is a bit more ‘loviness’.. though the telepathy part was not really there until recently.  These two are suddenly on a wavelength and that wavelength has me running by 6 am every morning.

 

It was a long time ago when we realized the twins slept better on different floors of our home, but what does one do when suddenly that is no longer enough?  It’s not legal to move somebody out to the car except for myself, which isn’t a bad idea really .  Perhaps, I’ll work on transforming our garage into a nursery with the spare $15,000 we don’t have (NOT). 

 

Unless we move into bigger quarters there really is no rational place left to go.  I feel like my life has turned into trying to NOT wake people up as the twins rise earlier and earlier.  Plus, if it’s true telepathy it won’t help moving them further apart anyways.  Only moving them away from my other kids.

 

All I can say with utter certainty is that there is quite a difference in the morning bustle that one baby causes vs. two put together.  So since my hub hasn’t made any mention of us moving on up to an East side mansion, or hiring a night nurse to lull one twin back to bed..what is one to do? 

 

Annaliese has always woken earlier, but Alessandra could easily stay sleeping till 8am.  How nice was that?  Now when Annie is up..Allie knows and is up to.  Speak of the devil.  5:59 and there is their cue.  How crazy!  Ok, I shall return.  (Time goes by.)  Ok, I’m back.  There is oddly even telepathy in their bowel movements.  One drops the bomb and then it’s look out Hiroshima!  Not a terrifically sweet thing when I’m out and alone with both girls.

 

Can’t we coordinate our telepathy for naps, like say 2-3 hours a day?  Allie was, but now she wakes at the same time as sis to, which is usually 20-30 minutes at best.  I hardly have time to make a cup of coffee and put my as$ on a chair in that amount of time.  Oh yes the twins are cuter then ever, and I do love seeing them bond, but there are a couple small tweaks I would make if I could.  I keep remembering..this will all be a memory one day, so laugh now for in some odd way I will miss this in time. 

 

 At least now I have proof that these un-lookalikes are in fact siblings.  Me and hub had pondered many times if they could have done a quick switcheroo under the table, or if something was up because Annie just doesn’t look like anyone.  She never really reminded us of any family member, but now we are certain…she’s ours!
