Thudguard Baby/ Toddler Helmet Review & Giveaway!
(Plus Video Of Helmets In Action!)
4-8-2011
We are 13 months & 6 days old.
Today I’m here to talk about a brilliant product for baby that is an absolute must have for your standing, cruising, wobbly, walking, or running, infant, toddler, or twins.
I can honestly say that this is themost important review I have ever done, and am very happy to be able to share this incredible invention with a cyber-world full of moms and dads also fighting to keep their little ones safe & sound on a daily basis!
The reason this is such an important review and topic in general, is because head protection isn’t something that is discussed a lot. When babies start crawling then cruising, and are learning to walk, exploring the world around them, the world can prove to be a very dangerous place. You will see in the video below with my 12, almost 13 months at the time twins, how this miracle helmet, saved them numerous times from injury. ALL Parents please do listen up.
Head injuries occur in children thousands of times every day in this world, and all of us parents absolutely fear them, but I never knew before, that as infants and toddlers there was anything out there to help shield them from this danger. It was do what you can, but how many hands does mom really have? With twins, and only one set of hands myself to work with, I have been understandably terrified.
We do all we can to keep our our most prized possessions safe, so why not go one step further, and use the Thudguard helmet to protect their most precious asset of all. Their tiny, growing, brains. The brain is one part of our bodies that once damaged, can never heal and be recovered like other areas of the body. Scary but true.
Watch how Thudguard helped my twins numerous times in only 30 minutes outdoors!
(Cute w/ fun music!)
I personally have had numerous head injuries from my abusive ex-boyfriend, and some very severe ones from several accidents that left me with concussions, and multiple times complete loss of consiousness (4 or 5). I thought I was very lucky to still be ok, and now I take great care of myself and my ‘noggin’ as I like to call it, but then I found out that cumulatively, the damage I suffered over the years could affect me in the long term.
Memory loss, possibly early dementia, or early Alzheimer’s. I’m very worried about this, and it makes me all the more eager to make sure my children are safe from head to toe. That’s why I’m thrilled to be reviewing this product. It’s a product that can help keep your child from suffering irreparable damage to their fragile brains. What could be more important then that?
Now Annie..AKA ‘bruiser’, because she is always falling down and knocking into something. She gets marks on her head all of the time. Here’s an example. It’s two small, healing bruises on her head. I wish I had a picture when they were darker to share.
She is a real dare devil and has absolutely no fear, and enjoys climbing on anything and everything. Balancing on stuff, including toys you would never ever expect any child to stand on. That is just her ‘thing’, my little thrill seeker, and now she’s sort of teaching the other one (UGH), to follow along. So during in the house play AND outdoors, I am petrified for her, (their), safety.
Going in…
Standing up.
(No worries hubby was near, but she’s an unbelievable balancer.)
And as you can see…now a VERY bad influence!
(Poor mom!)
Annie always finds a way to fall down and clunk herself, not matter how you loom over her, and with twins you got to go after the other baby to. So, what is a mom to do? I’ll tell you what she can do. Have some peace of mind and get your baby or toddler (or twins), an invaluable Thudguard helmet.
You can’t put a price on your child’s safety, and your ease of conscious, but let’s just say the price is quite affordable, and they are on sale right now, so do visit the Thudguard website HERE!

The company is one of the absolute best I have ever worked with. The customer service is incredible. The people are kind beyond words, and always willing to help whenever need be. And most importantly, the product itself is amazing!
I found Thudguard while randomly doing a search for baby helmets, to see if any existed on the market because of the way Annie was marking herself up, and giving her mommy an ulcer. As stated above, I quite unfortunately have a deep awareness for this issue.
When I found Thudguard, and received some wonderful products from them for review, I was pleasantly surprised with the product vs. what I thought it would be like. It exceeded my expectations.
1) The helmet is NOT heavy at all, it’s extremely light weight.
Much more so then you’d think. It feels like nothing honestly, but is very cushiony inside.
2) It has plenty of ventilation for breathability.
It features holes throughout, to keep your baby cool during the warmer months to.
3) The design is simply adorable to boot. Look at those sweet lil’ ears on top!
Can you please make these in an adult size for unlucky lasses like myself?
4) Easy to put on & easily adjustable.
It only takes seconds, so your fussy baby looking to get down, will have no problem here.
5) Comes in blue for boys & purple for girls.
6) Gives mom peace of mind.
Her exploring baby’s head and brain are fully protected from injury.
I just loved it at first glance, and once the twins got used to having it on, as they are in the ‘I don’t like anything on my head’ phase, which only took a second, I was loving the fact that they were now protected. The head is the most important part of the body…cover it up with a Thudguard! It might just prevent more then your typical ‘thud’.
Perfect for those go-go-GO kiddos!
I plan on using these helmets for my girls all of the time when I take them out and about, as honestly in the park and such, without protection I’m scared silly. Even for in home use to, as they are scary there also. I’m so happy Thudguard helped this mom get the peace of mind she was so desperately craving.
**It also has a bonus of protecting your bald babies from sunburn on their noggins.**

I have a child who is 3years 6 months with part of her skull missing from being burned in a housefire at age one. She has used a Thudguard helmet since then and we have been extremely pleased with it. There is only one problem…she has outgrown it and you don’t seem to make it but in the one size. Do you have any thoughts of expanding your sizes or do you have any idea where we can get one on the same order as yours? Thanks so much for your help.

Hi Terry,
I don’t make the Thudguard, I just reviewed and am hosting a giveaway for it, however, I am quite touched by the story of your sweet little girl. That is heartbreaking, but thankfully she is here with you today, and that is a wonderful miracle. I know Kelly and/or Charlotte who works at Thudguard, and Kelly who invented the product, would be fascinated by your family’s story, and perhaps could produce something to fit her needs, or at least direct you to where you can find something that would suit her perfectly. They have INCREDIBLE customer service, and you can speak with the creator directly. Not all the middle men inbeween. Please do do this, and tell them Shelly from Twinpossible sent you. Your daughter is very lucky to have such a wonderful and caring mother like you. God bless you both, and Happy Mother’s Day!
Hugs,
Shelly
Hey there Shelly, I just wanted to say thank you for your post on this helmet, I have been looking for one that’s cute
… I had twin girls @ 25 weeks 17 mo ago, sadly we lost one of a daughters. But my sweet little Mary. Is now doing great and she is wanting to get up and go, even though she can’t sit up yet. She pulls her self up and then falls over
its to bad that the give away is over! I could really use the less stress
anyway, i just wanted to thank you, now i know what i will get, when i can!
I’d like to send you a helmet for your daughter. I’m so very sorry for your loss. ((HUGS)). You deserve that and I do have a few here. You let me know where I can send it to via email, ok? You are a great mother and a very strong woman. I wish you all nothing but the very best!
Shelly
PS- As someone who has loved and lost if you ever need a friend, I’m happy to lend you a shoulder. I think friends make life more bearable, even online..maybe even more so online. xoxo
