The Twins 2nd Gymnastics Class: Pictures, Video, And Chat
The twinkies continue their gymnastics journey in class #2. It went a lot better (I think) than the 1st one did. I don’t have the singing part in the beginning taped like last time, but at first it appeared as if it was going to be a repeat of the ‘clinginess’ of class 1. I was slightly disheartened, but then I noticed a change for the better.
Quite early I was able to scoot myself over to the door frame, and then behind it. I was visible, but you will notice they didn’t look at me constantly and they only ran up to us a couple of times because my husband was making silly faces I later learned. (Not their fault 😆 .)
Overall, there was a very noticeable improvement in the separation aspect of things if you saw video #1 and compared the two, and a marked improvement in behavior. They were more obedient, listened much better to instructions, and participated quite well. I was very proud of them. I think this is a great 1st step towards school next year.
As most of my long-time readers know, I have questioned their ‘twin bond’ or lack thereof from the start of things. However, despite any fighting they may do here at home, you will notice that they do tend to stick together when push comes to shove. I think the bond is growing. This definitely makes mom happy.
One other child joined the class this week bringing the grand total to 4 students. I guess in a way this small class size is good for everybody. There isn’t a lot of chaos and they all get more attention. They are still the youngest of the group. The other two girls are 3 and 1/2 on the nose and the other turned 3 a few months ago which does make a big difference vs. their 30 month status. But all in all they are beginning to hold their own.
Here are pictures not included in the video that my husband took with his cell phone. I’m always the only nut case with the camera everywhere I go, but hey…you’re only young once. I wish my parents had been half as neurotic 😛 .
