Recall: Bunny Sippy Cups From Target Pose Injury Hazard!
Recall: Bunny Sippy Cups From Target Pose Injury Hazard
4-27-2012
They may be cute as a bunny, but not quite as harmless as one. These adorable bunny cups that were sold in Target stores nationwide between February 2012 and April 5th, have been recalled.
According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission 264,000 bunny cups have been recalled due to the potential for injury, namely to the eyes of a young child.
The bunny ears can possibly poke a child’s eye while drinking from the straw causing a host of possible eye-related problems and injuries. Consumers are urged to return the Target Home Bunny cups back to the store for a complete refund of the $3 purchase price.
(In looking at the photograph you can clearly see the problem with this model.)
Both styles, the blue and the pink for both boys and girls are all involved in the recall, and if in any doubt the cups can be identified simply by looking at the bottom of the cup base. TARGET 200020683 is imprinted on the bottom of the pink sippy, and TARGET 200020884 would be seen imprinted on the blue, bunny cup.
Do not let your children use these cups! Please call the number below, or visit your local Target store for your refund.
