Products: Flops & Praises. Mama Possible’s Personal Recommendations!
Products I Personally Recommend & Ones That I Don’t!

4 months & 3 wks old (WAH)
DIAPERS Pampers or Luvs only, in our crazy home! Huggies have a leak-out problem despite their nice, cozy feel, and no frill brands, such as Especially for baby, by Babies R Us, are hard, unpliable, and very comfortable. Would you enjoy wearing steel panties? I didn’t think so. Both Pampers and Luvs have passed the Mama Possible’s test, and you can save a few bucks by going with the latter.
BOTTLES. Who knew less could be more? The expensive brands like Avent, That leak all over poor baby, whenever the wind blows, don’t measure up to their cheaper competition, the $1 a bottle Evenflos. Who’d have guessed it? I never would have if, I didn’t try out a bunch and waste a lot of mola (cha-ching), for myself. If you have time for cleaning extra parts, then I’d also say Dr. Browns are decent bottles as well, just that multiple mommies go through so many, the less parts the better. They are good, but after 5 kids using bottles, I have found nothing better then the cheapest bottles around, Evenflos. Who knew?
BIBBIES (Bibs). So many cutesy bibs out there, but for summer especially, you want to go light, but get decent absorbency, without the super heavy, hot feel. Waterproof is never an exact science, but it does help a bit to buy ones that say this. Plastic backings can be unattractive & possibly hot and uncomfy for baby, plus the crinkly noise, and the cracking, over time, who needs it? These Carter’s bibs I found were a terrific buy!
The absorbency is quite good, it has the waterproofing to it, without feeling that way. It’s light weight for the warmer months, and the big bonus, is that it velcros on the side, not in back, so no trying to rip off the bib in back of poor baby’s little head, or getting her hair stuck in it. I like it better, I don’t wake them when they fall asleep this way, and also, they are just darned cute to. Great colors and prints. Check your local Target for the best price. (Walmart may carry them to).
MONITORS. The Graco IMonitor Vibe, is the biggest hunk of junk since my 1st automobile. It doesn’t go up high enough in my opinion (the volume), It doesn’t keep a charge for very long, nor tell you when it is charged, so in the middle of the night….guess what? It isn’t your baby waking poor mommy, but it’s the dang monitor waking you up. Many a night’s sleep it has ruined for me, and it’s just so not worth that $89.99 price tag. Expensive isn’t always better folks. Better to go with a cheaper model, in this case.
The two monitor system, seemed perfect, one for upstairs and one for downstairs. Yeah terrific, until one of the monitors stop working, without notice & without reason. This product gets 0 our of 5 stars from this mom of 5.
Go for quality, and we know Sony is known for quality, in products all over the world. The Sony 900Mhz Baby Call Nursery Monitor NTM-910, is a great buy for baby, and It’s even water resistant, in case you take it into the bathroom while you shower, and it happens to get heavily misted on, WHICH CAN HAPPEN
. That is my top monitor pick, for you all, so in this instance, stay away from the Graco!
ONESIES. We go through them like crazy don’t we girls? Whelp here is a little something to be aware of. Gerber happens to make their brand of onesies, cut EXTREMELY small. Went out and bought the girl’s size, NO WAY, went back got a size up at 6-9 months, still a no go. We got the 12 months for 4 month old babies, and they fit. What the heck? So be sure and buy UP. Child of mine by Carter’s are the perfect fit, and a little room for growth, so those are the ones that I recommend the most. Coming in at a cool second would be Circo brand, from Target. (Child of Mine is made by Carters as well ladies, and I just love those for my girls!)
PACIFIERS. I highly recommend the Soothies, for the early months with baby, but when they get to 2 or 3 months old, you may find other brands may work better, now that they are starting to move a bit, and not staying flat on their backs, hardly moving their heads, like mummies
Like I
said Soothies for the early months, then move on to another brand, my fav being MAM. They aren’t the most expensive, and they aren’t the cheapest, so they are in the middle of the price arena, but they are terrific, easy for baby to keep in their mouth’s for long periods of time, adorable prints, colors, and sayings, and they have different sizes, so they grow with your baby. Their pacifier clips are amazing. Best I have ever seen (wach the video below for more on the pacifier clip subject). This is the best, so I’m definately giving MAM products a 5 out of 5 star rating!
