Pourty Easy-to-Pour Toddler Potty Review & Giveaway!
Pourty Easy-to-Pour Potty Review & Giveaway!
6-6-2012
My twinkies are 27 months, 4 days old.
I was recently given the chance to review a product that is very well suited for my current family situation. With two toddlers in the midst of potty training twinsanity, the Pourty has really has come in quite handy.
Though my girls don’t mind at all climbing up onto the big girl potty and practicing their #1′s and #2′s there, we needed something portable, functional, and easy to clean. The Pourty is just that, and is super light-weight to carry.
The twins always seem to want to go to the bathroom at the same time. (ESP? Who knows?) But there has only been one potty in the bathroom. That is..up until now. Now when one potty is occupied we still have a cute little potty nearby to accommodate that second little hiney in our household.
The contoured seat makes sitting comfortably and safely a breeze. And when finished the pee pours right out of the Pourty into the big bowl and gets flushed right away. The girls even enjoy lending a hand to help pour out the Pourty which can be fun to them, but a couple of times a tad of a mess for mommy. Just be quick when your toddlers are through is all.
My husband has been working on the house and recently I have been needing to keep the twins inside of one room for awhile while the chaos is going on. The Pourty has come in super handy for when we can’t make it into the bathroom. I just take it in the room with us and all is well. I could definitely see needing another one of these for sure. Another plus for us is that the girls immediately took right to it.
Sometimes Annie will sit the wrong way, but it doesn’t seem to matter!
Some great features of the Porty are as follows:
1) Super light-weight to carry around and pour out.
I have had several toddler potties over the years. By far this is the lightest.
2) Inexpensive
It does it’s job and at a price that everyone can afford. Who needs the bells and whistles? You need practical.
3) Easy to clean
It’s easy to pour out the urine via the special Pourty reservoir, especially made for this purpose. Also with it’s simplistic design even #2 messes are a breeze to clean out. No nooks and crannies for germs to run and hide into.
4) Functional
It does it’s intended job. Potties should be basic and non-distracting. I have bought those music playing, activity-type potties before. They become more of a toy than a place to go to the bathroom. This is perfect for tiny behinds to sit, be comfortable, go to the bathroom, and easy for mom to clean. Exactly what a toddler toilet should be like.
5) Quality
The Pourty is made of very thick and sturdy plastic, which makes it hard for little ones to knock over. It will never break or buckle.
6) 4 color choices
Why be boring? Pick your own Pourty color. It’s available in pretty pink, basic white, stunning purple, and boyish blue.
All in all I have been very happy with the Pourty. The only downside, which is also an upside to, is that it is very, very light. As said above you have to act fast or it can easily become a clean up job for mom. I’d rather be quick and pick it up than to have a heavy potty that is harder to empty out and move from place to place though. I’s really quite a wonderful product.
Twinpossible rates the Pourty an excellent 4.75 out of 5 stars

I’d pick yellow and I love that this makes potty training convenient and more sanitary. It’s easy to pour but easy to use!

I like the white as it makes it easy to pour and less chance for a mess.
