My energetic twinkle toes are 29 months, 1 week, and 2 days old.

 

 

I read this story yesterday morning and it stayed in my head most of the day because I can’t begin to imagine a loving and innocent practice such as breastfeeding being turned into something as filthy as porn. However, one mother with only the best of intentions got the shock of her life when her breastfeeding tutorial meant for educating others fell into VERY wrong hands. How did this all happen?

 

It started three years ago when Maryann Sahoury decided to make a breastfeeding video, anonymously mind you, to help other women overcome the fears and struggles of breastfeeding. Heck, I post videos to help other moms on the Internet all the time, so anybody could be a victim here. The difference is that her video was extremely personal, and she made certain to ask that her name and the name of her infant daughter not be revealed. That was agreed upon verbally.

 

Sahoury worked as a lactation consultant so she surely had expertise in the area and really thought she could do some good for the first-time mothers of the world. Quite apparently, it backfired big time. Her video ended up being spliced into porn, even revealing her name and the name of her young daughter. That sounds like a mother’s worst nightmare come true right? My question is…”How on Earth could anybody be so twisted and sick that they’d not only exploit this woman and child for monetary gain, but what about the people watching? Who is sick enough to get off on such a non-sexual act?” It simply boggles my brain and the brains of many others on the Internet. 

 

Some partially blame Maryann for not reading the contract agreement more thoroughly before signing. Listen, as someone who is also one who enjoys helping others at every turn, and is genuinely nice person with a big heart, I to could have easily been a tad naive and signed the document trusting the other party. Yes, she did get a big life lesson that you surely can not trust everybody and should always read all of the fine print. But seriously, I can’t put any blame on her because as a trusting soul myself, it could have been me.

 

If it was agreed upon that my video would be on The Meredith Video Network website, tv.parent.com, and YouTube only, I would trust that to be the case. (Not after reading this now.) Who would ever think her educational, breastfeeding video, would ever end up where it did? Apparently, she unknowingly signed a complete wavier. Again, this could happen to millions of other trusting women. Porn wouldn’t even begin to enter my mind here.

 

How did this all come to light? One day Maryann Sahoury did a Google search of her name and to her shock and her horror had come across actual footage from the breastfeeding video she helped create, combined with pornographic video using a woman with similar features and stature comparative to herself. Worse still…their names were on the actual video. WOW! Now they can’t even track down the guy responsible, known only as “Nizarddd”, for putting up this sick flick and exploiting this poor family. She does have a suit filed against the original creator of the video. I pray that somehow justice is served.
