Little Tikes 3-in-1 Deluxe Smart Trike Review With Video.
(All Smart Trikes Included Here Though.)

These trikes are adorable, and very functional. Both versions: the regular model.. (Retail price: $99.99) & the deluxe models ($119.00-$139.00), are about as cute as they come, and chocked full of impressive features for you and your little tike.
When I saw this trike online right before the twins’ 1st birthday, I just knew this was a must have item.
I went for the pink floral print, as shown below. This one is adorable to. They DO have prints for boys below, as well.
Being that they are on the expensive side, especially when you consider everything times two, with twins in tow, we went conservative, and only purchased one trike at a time, which is smart anyhow with multiples, because how many times have you jumped and bought two of something that you ended up absolutely hating, or your twins didn’t care for themselves? I HAVE, I HAVE. A few times too many!
So to not potentially risk any further money being cautious, we bought one of these. Then I purchased something totally different. A ride on which I ended up totally and surprisingly despising, and it will be going back to the store tomorrow for store credit. I thought I (WE) would LOVE it. NOPE! I’ll do a review on that shortly, and we are definiately planning on getting another one of these though.
I chose the deluxe model for a couple of reasons. It is a bit pricier but not TOO much, however it features soft, padded, cloth seat covers, that give your baby comfort in their hineys and their backs as they are pushed along. The deluxe model AND the standard one, both have an ingenious 5 point harness that keeps them safe and sound much like a car seat has, however, the deluxe has added padding in the straps also, and a musical cell phone, that my twins just adore!
As your child grows and advances in age, they have a normal lap belt for them. My little ones are quite adventurous and I never feel safe with them on or in anything in recent months. With this trike, I finally do. It’s as safe as being buckled into a stroller, yet far more fun. With just a lap belt, I know they could break free right now, and so many things you see don’t even come with that much, so it’s nice to have all of these options.
They also features sun canopies on all models to help block out the sunlight, and keep your infant and small toddler nice and cool, and sunburn free. In heavier type wind the canopy won’t stay down, but that is the only flaw I could find with this product, so that is pretty amazing.
In normal weather conditions the canopy is a valuable asset to this rideable, grow-with-me toy. I think it’s fabulous, and the sun canopy WILL work well in normal weather conditions. (We picked a really windy day to film. Not by choice, but by chance. It’s not the manufacturer’s fault.)
The deluxe model come with an adorable little cell phone, with holding case in front, that plays songs. It’s really darling, and is attached to a short string, so you will not lose it. If you pop out the tinier part of the holder in front, the area will fit a bottle or small juice cup in front. Perfect for those trips to the park, plus there is a backpack where you can store some little things for your toddler.
There is a small place for storage in back as well. Granted a cover would be nice, but even though I can think of small improvements, this is as close as we have found to perfection. My Annie won’t sit in the stroller for long at all, especially now that she is so mobile and hyper, and when she sees other kids play, as she did yesterday..forget about it.
Who looks like they are having more fun here?
But yet when we put her in this thing…ZERO complaints. Hands on the handle bars like a pro already, she totally was uninterested in breaking free. That was a miracle and in and of itself. Well worth the price tag on this trike. HA HA, but seriously, that was just miraculous.
She sat contently until like an hour later when I said, ‘Honey it’s nice outside let her get some exercise already’ and took her out myself, or she would have remained happy in her trike, the entire afternoon. Possibly making some long distance phone calls along the way.
Hello? Is This Aunt Terry From Sicily?
After hubby put it together, Allie sat in it for some time without complaint as well. I thought to myself, ‘I think we are sitting on a winner here!’ (Sorry, I didn’t pull out the camera until Allie was out of the trike, but look at how eager she was to hop aboard again.)
Double your pleasure..double your fun!
YAHOO!
(I think I’ll invent the Twin Trike. What do you think? I have a really good visual, and some plans in my mind. Little Tikes, call me.
)
Now while the price tag may seem a bit steep at first glance, think about what you are getting in return, and also think about it this way. As your baby grows from infant to toddler, their needs during different phases and stages change, as well. Here you get it all in one product, at one (to me), reasonable price!
With this vehicle you can start using it almost like a stroller, but far more interesting to baby, at only 9 or 10 months time. Then it will see your child through the first 3 years of life, at least, which is quite a nice run for any toy.
So since it’s a 3 in 1, you are getting the benefits of 3 rideable toys taking up less space in your home or garage, and enabling you to get everything your child needs until they move on to the big bikes, and even beyond a little while, really.
The quality seems like it will stand the test of time, as well, which is very important. We have decided we would like to have two of these after our big trip, where we put the Smart Trike 3 in 1 to the Twinpossible test.
(I did it again today on the bumpy side walks. 2 thumbs up once more!)
Things we wondered before trying it out.
(As all parents will.)
How would it steer? Would it be a smooth enough ride?
How would the babies like it?
Would it serve us well & prove to be worth the ticket price?
Would it remain interesting?
Would it fit in the back of our SUV that has very limited trunk space?
Would they have a color and design that would catch my eye, and make me want to buy?
How about safety wise. Would it contain my little animals, and keep them protected?
The answers were time and again..yes, yes, yes, yes, YES!
Now have I ever STEERED you wrong? No pun intended.
I’m very impressed by the Little Tikes 3 in 1 Smart Trike, especially the deluxe version, because of the padding, and the cell phone. I would encourage any singleton parent, or mother or father of twins, to purchase these bikes for their children.
It’s actually cheaper in the long haul, and they will actually enjoy the ride sitting up and being able to watch the world around them, then continue taking on the world as they grow bigger and bigger, and conquering more and more challenging feats.
**Dear Little Tikes. The only improvement I could see making, would be a metal hinge..something heavy duty to keep the sunshade down in ANY weather condition, though it was exceedingly windy outside, so I do get it, but more of a hinge holding the top and bottom pieces together might be beneficial, and perhaps rubber wheels for moms who like to step it up, though these do ride smoothly, I just think most would prefer rubber, if it were offered.
Granted this is a toy and for kids and fun, but I personally believe a lot of moms would be interested I think. Even if it added a few dollars to the cost, most would pay. Just a thought. It is an awesome product though. I WOULD buy again, and will.**
It would also make the ultimate gift for family & friend’s little children, or for your grandchild.
Below are some of the Smart Trikes, both the original & deluxe versions, you can purchase.
