I happened upon the website Portable North Pole last Christmas. I made a video for my then 7 year old daughter (from Santa), and it made her grin from ear to ear. It also really impressed my husband, my mother-in-law and brother-in-law whom we had showed it to. Now I have two more little believers this year who as you can see below were very excited to see their own personalized videos as well.
These are very easy, yet wonderfully and very professionally done. And they are personalized to your individual child. I wish they had this amazing technology when I was a child myself. It just really enhances the whole holiday experience.
I was able to tailor it to say you have been a little bit naughty mixed in with some nice (so/so), which really helped change that ‘bad’ since Santa is on his way. But do know that Santa will always come back with positive messages. No matter what you choose to say he will NEVER leave your child feeling upset, just amazed! Try it and see for yourself. You can also send a future video to back up the effort!
There is a lot that you can do through PNP.
1) PNP’s mobile app- new for 2013
You can download their app for android and iOS devices. Create Christmas magic on your mobile devices for the kids to enjoy. (We know all kids steal our mobile devices anyway. Even my 3 year olds do.) You can track Santa on radar, credit and create premium videos and phone calls from the device you are using. There is a countdown game and access to a PNP account to synchronize with your online content.
Portable North Pole’s Mobile App is $3.99 for iOS and Android; $4.99 HD app for iPad and iPad mini. Definitely a worthwhile purchase!
2) Phone calls from Santa Claus
You can order up a phone call from the big guy himself. This makes little faces light up. My twins and 8 year old were so impressed by this. It is only $3.99 for one call from the North Pole, which is definitely a terrific price for such a long distance call. And only $6.99 for 3 phone calls! The call lasts about 2 minutes each, and the parent, grand parent, uncle, etc. can choose between 14 great message options.
3) You can get a FREE video for your child.
This is what I did for Christmas last year. It was awe-striking to Mikayla. It is a standard video with some personalization involved to excite your little believer.
4) You can buy a premium video at a VERY low cost.
The premium version provides a 6 minute long, super personalized message from Santa Claus, 3 photos to add of your child, more personalized details to blow your child’s mind, a clip of Santa riding on his sleigh and even a personalized Christmas carol sung to your child. All of this for only $3.99!
(View both versions below.)
5) Santa Sprint PNP adventure
This is a lot of fun for your little gamers. This app can be downloaded to your iPhone, iPad and iPod iOS devices for only $2.99. It’s a really fun game for kids to play, and for the entire family really. Guided by the voice of Santa, kids can help him get ready for Christmas and unlock exclusive video stories as they complete the different levels.
(In App purchase $1.99 for coin doubler; $0.99 for 10 “second chance” bundle)
There are also personalized Christmas letters that can be mailed, books, certificates, Santa tracking on radar, a Christmas countdown, and other cool goodies.
The Portable North Pole experience promises to be an incredible one for all of your Santa fans. It makes the entire Christmas holiday all the more special. The magical Portable North Pole console allows Santa to stay in touch with his millions of friends around the globe, all at the click of a button. Nothing makes Santa more happy than spreading some extra holiday cheer.
Believe me, based on now two years of experience, these videos and phone calls will bring them a lot of happiness. We only have one childhood. The magic of Christmas should be given to your children for as long as possible, as it is such a very special time of the year.
Also, PNP donates 5% of all of their online earnings to a children’s hospital in the buyer’s area. (A very worthy cause indeed.) PNP currently collaborates with over 40 regional Children’s Hospitals in the U.S.A.
The Portable North Pole is available in both English & French languages, and they have had over 80 million PNP Santa videos created since they started in 2008. That is an awful lot of Christmas magic, hey? It’s very popular all over the world! They have well over 500,000 fans on Facebook to date and always growing. To become one of them simply visit PNP on Facebook here. You can also follow Santa’s magical cyber home on Twitter as well.
We love the Portable North Pole, and I assure you that your family will to. Both little kids and us big kids alike.
Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!
