These Are The Mercedes Benz Of Diaper Bags!

I will admit, I’m a sales freak!  A deal getting mama, who doesn’t like the ugly word RETAIL, and probably has only paid retail once or twice, in my lifetime. 

 

I won’t say I’m cheap,  because I can spend a lot, when I am getting a lot in return, which means I enjoy getting the absolute most bang for my buck, so when I got pregnant and started enquiring about diaper bags, I never knew that shortly thereafter,  I would fall in love with a product line, I had never once heard of before, but wish that I had.  That product line was the Ju-Ju-Be.  Now I know why some women obsess over diaper bags, like they obsess over hand bags. 

 

With twins I needed something large for day trips, and I’m convinced had I bought one of those cheap Carter’s $30 or $40 bags, I would have exploded a zipper, or popped off a strap by now.   It’s incredibly true that you get what you pay for, especially in this instance.  I bought the BE Prepared,  Ju-Ju-Be model, and it’s a big hit, in my crazy household.  (Video review for that item, soon to come), but then I thought, what about something smaller, for little trips?  I didn’t think it possible for twins, but it was an intriguing thought, since I was getting away for some trips with a smaller bag.

 

I had been using the hospital shoulder bag,  *BLUSH*…tacky I know, it finally started bothering me, and despite having had a bag come with my Stroll-Air stroller, I haven’t wanted to use it,  I’m afraid because it’s fabric, it will get stained up and ruined, so I have kept it to the side, and was just using the backpack bag, and my Be Prepared. 

 

Whelp at the absolute perfect time, someone tweeted about a babysteals.com deal, that was too good to not jump on, so I did.  It was for the Ju-Ju-Be, Mini-be.  I was reluctant, because in the photos it looked a bit small, but a Ju-Ju at half price?  When would I ever see that kind of deal again?   So, I pounced.  Very thankful that I did!

 

This bag is amazing!  You can feel the quality in ever fiber, and see it in every stitch, and it holds SO much more then I could ever have imagined, when viewing the pictures, and so It’s become my every day bag since it’s arrived.  I would have gladly paid full price for what I got with the Mini-Be. 

 

When you think about the amount of usage you give your diaper bags, and the beatings that they take, especially with multiple children, you realize, maybe there are a couple things I shouldn’t be so frugal about, because long run, you are saving headaches and money, and those couple things to me are:  A really good stroller, and a terrific diaper bag, that can stand the test of time!   I found everything & more in the Ju-Ju Be brand!

 

In the Mini Be, as shown in the video below,  I was able to comfortably fit, my keys, makeup, and my cell phone would have fit to, inside the front pocket.  I call that pocket my mommy pocket, for this model.  I can even put my cash in that, so I don’t have to carry my purse at all.   It definitely is long and wide enough to hold a wallet in as well.

 

The inside easily and comfortably held, 2 rattles, a large musical toy, several plush toys, a lovey baby blanket with attached stuff toy, a slim, hard case of wipes, 4 diapers though I could have fit in double that amount,  a sterile baby bottle on this inside, 4, YES 4… 8oz bottles of Similac on the go , ready to use formula. Several bibs, and a washcloth, and 2 bottles in the outside, EZ stretch and open, side pockets. 

 

I usually put a couple of onesies and sweaters inside to, but I made the video last minute, so I hadn’t thought of everything.  There was a small amount of room still left inside, but that is quite a lot for a smalls sized bag.  This is where you can clearly see that looks, can indeed be deceiving.   The secret?  Everything expands!

 

The side pockets expand to fit any size bottles.  Perfect for twins. One on each side, or one bottle and one Poland Spring water bottle for mom!  These pockets are insulated, which is another nice perk.

 

 The inside, can expand out, and be stuffed to the max, without fear of zipper breakage, like cheaply made bags.  It puffs out, and allows for a ton of extra room, you never would have imagined, on the inside.  It even features an insulted area inside the bag, for formula or baby food.  It’s incredible!

Here are some of the awesome features of the Mini-Be, below:

 

 

1- Magnetic closure front pocket

No fumbling to have to close it up, everything inside stays safe and sound.

 

2- Key bungie cord attached, with clip to attach your keys to.

Never lose your keys at the bottom of a bag,  and have to go digging around, EVER again.  (This is huge for me!)

 

3- Photo area

 Show off your pride and joy(s), with the clever photo pocket in the front. Get personal!

 

4- Teflon Material

 Means no stains, your gain!  Liquids bounce right off of the fabric, and it’s impossibly easy to clean, IF and when needed, but nothing seems to be able to penetrate this amazing material.  Other bags just can’t compare!

 

5- Expandable

  Side pockets expand for an easy fit for bottles, and the whole bag expands, without putting stress on any fragile zippers.  Ju-Ju’s zippers, are NOT so fragile, as are others,  (Cheaper bags), that easily split or break, especially when over stuffed.  The ju ju be, packs a punch, and keeps on ticking!

 

6- Insulated pocket in top

 For a small amount of formula or food, to keep it cool or warm. Toddler sacks, jars of baby food, (etc.)

 

7- Insulated, stretchy, pockets on sides

Fit baby bottles, water bottles.  Expands to fit most sized bottles, likely not a super thick sports bottle, but bottles or cans of soda for mom, any sized baby bottle, and so on, will be no problem for these miracle ‘Stretch side’ compartments.

 

8- Stunning designs to fit any mom’s style

 They have the most beautiful prints and colors, for both boys, and girls, and gender neutral.  Most will work for both sexes, and are just stunning!  I love them.

 

9- Memory foam padded straps

  Keeps mommy’s shoulders & back completely comfortable, no matter how full you pack up, that bag of yours.

 

10- Optional mommy strap included

You can use this as a backpack, or do what I commonly do, strap it to the back of my stroller with ease, or you can use the mommy strap, to carry it like a regular diaper bag.  The choice is yours, but it’s a nice accessory they throw in, for your convenience.

 

11- Gussets to keep stuff from spilling out

  everything stays safe and 100% secure, in high quality, netted compartments!

 

12- Sturdy zipper pulls,  and super strong zippers

  No worries here, these zippers can stand up to anything, you can dish out!   Plus the zipper pulls are sturdy and feature the Ju-Ju-Be logo, and even a tiny rhinestone for added detail. (Cute!)

 

I’m so thrilled I didn’t go cheap as far as diaper bags are concerned.  I have enough on my plate with new twins, so I need everything to be convenient with a capital ‘C’, and the Ju-Ju, (Two models I now own)  have exceeded my every expectation & then some. 

 

**There is a large backpack version of this bag, called the ‘Be Right Back’,  if that is what you are looking for.  You will be VERY surprised at all, these bags can hold, and all of the amazing features, that no other bags out on the market today, carry!**

 

When you do the math, if you buy a cheaper bag, and the zipper breaks, or it gets stained up, or a strap breaks off, you will need to buy ANOTHER bag, which will double your cost.  Chances are in the next couple of years of using diaper bag, you will burn through several cheapies, but only one Ju-Ju, will prove to stand the test of time, and never let you down, so in the end,  it’s a money saver,  and a sanity saver all in one.  It’s the Mercedes Benz of the diaper bag world!  I’d never buy anything else, and I’m in NO way being paid for this review, this is 110% straight from the heart!

 

I definitely, VERY HIGHLY recommend,  Ju-Ju Be Mini-Be, to ALL!  It’s a true find!
