Halloween Costumes For Twins & Costume Buying Guide
Halloween Costumes For Twins & Costume Buying Guide
The twins are 6 years, 6 months & 4 weeks old.
We discussed this last year, but a new year is upon us now and I feel like again talking about costumes for twins because 1. it’s cute, and 2. it’s time for me to plan and buy really soon to, so why not?
I’ll add a link to a former post of mine here. Twin costume ideas for more, but I’m not looking at the post before I write this so my content will be original for this current year. Not like, ‘Oh yeah, I remember that cute costume.’ I’m sure they’ll be some of the same though.
If your twins are still small, you will have all this say for yet another year. In a few, short years from now you won’t be the one selecting most likely, but like me, you can certainly help your twinkies out. Here we go!
This might be most appropriate for infant and toddler twins 😆 but is cute for both. They can be two of the same or be a little different and make your babies coordinating monsters.
Show the world your lil monsters
Or your toddler ones.
Baby twins always look cute as fruit. I personally love this strawberry costume for them.
Two freshly picked strawberries. What’s more delicious then that?
(A cheaper option.)
Here is a perfect outfit for twin girl tots & bigger girls.
You can go for one of the same with boy or girl twins, or mix and match. These are for little tykes, but there are many out there to choose from.
Pumpkin costumes are always a hit for babies and toddlers.
Nothing says Halloween like a nicely carved pumpkin. And an animated one x’s 2? Even better!
These are great for two girls, two boys, or boy/girl twins. There are tons of styles and looks to chose from.
Bride and groom
Got boy/girl twins? This is a cute idea. Maybe not so much in the future, but as tots they can easily get away with this one.
A butterfly/caterpillar combination
We know one comes from the other so why not go for something more original to make people have to put on their thinking caps?
This was our twins adorable Halloween outfit from 2010. 1/2 angel 1/2 devil. That about said it all. I must say for the money the poor quality surprised me. (Not in looks but bad stitching in parts and snaps popping off.) Don’t assume that what you spend =’s what you get. But they did look cute for that one day anyways.
For two girls I think this is really cute. Actually, I once was a bit smitten with this one.
Pink poodles for your best friends.
How about a unisex and fun idea like M&Ms? Made in both infant and toddler sizes & styles. Child sizes I found to.
As Kid Rock says, ‘Cowboy Baby.’ How about a cowboy/cow girl duo, or two of the same? You don’t see that every day.
Mickey & Minne Mouse
Other twin costume ideas not pictured are:
Two peas in a pod for newborn twins is an adorable smash!
The two little pigs
You could be #3 if you wish . Triplets would make 3 cuties for sure!
Mix and match animals
So many cute styles to choose from.
Cat and mouse
Let’s face it, there is always a twin that plays the role of the cat.
If you are extremely lucky 😀 .
A witch/ warlock duo
Princess and her leading man for boy/girl twins.
Dorothy and the tin man, cowardly lion, etc.
Doctor and nurse duo
In this day and age that isn’t limited to boy/girl twins..YAY females!
Donald & Daisy Duck

Questions to ask yourself when purchasing a Halloween costume for your twins. Your costume buying guide.
1) Is it practical?
How much can you actually afford to pay for one day of fun? Be sure to look around and get the best price that you can because x’s two is always an arm and a leg, as well you twin moms and dads already know. Shop smart and according to your budget.
2) Material content and styling
Are you buying an outfit that has itchy, scratchy, or annoying material? Perhaps, the design is something that falls into the babies face and will agitate him, her, or them? Be smart and check out the material and style of a garment as best you can before purchase, even online by reading and researching.
3) For babies…
Are buntings really the best way to go? Maybe for the first few months of life. Three months I’d say, because I can’t picture a baby being cozy once they are creeping, crawling, rolling, and moving a lot more, inside of a bunting without complaint. Most babies like their legs free. In my opinion the only way to get away with this one is during the newborn stage. Not 6-12 months as some costumes may state. 3 months to me is about it, in my opinion.
If you live in Florida you don’t want to buy a hot, furry outfit for your babies. And if you live in New York, you don’t want to buy something without any sleeves unless you have a top for underneath. You’ll find yourself covering up the outfit with a poofy jacket. Be smart and practical. Shop weather appropriate.
You may get a little surprised that it might be a tad warmer or colder then expected come the 31st of October, but if you plan on being outside, you have lived quite a number of years and are pretty keen on what the normal weather for October is in your area.
Don’t think just cute, think realistic. Your baby/ child/ twins need to be comfortable. If you will be trick or treating inside of a mall or something, or going to a party, this rule need not apply.
5) Remember sizing when buying for twins.
Twins are usually, but not always, smaller then a singleton baby and sizing can get tricky. If you are good with the needle and thread you may be able to help convert this problem into nothing much. But for most of us without any time or lacking such skills, it’s important to really look at the size charts and think about measurements before purchase. If you can try on in store and buy cheaper online, that is the best case scenario, when possible.
6) Have you read previous customer reviews?
It’s usually cheapest to buy online, but did you read reviews of the costume or costumes that have caught your eye? This is a big MUST DO before your purchase. Check the Internet and you will find information on any costume available for sale. This helps tons.
7) Shop early, shop smart!
If you don’t want to ruffle your own feathers, stress out, pay a higher price, and go insane, I totally encourage you to shop now..buy early. It takes away that stress as buying for two is more difficult then 1 and of course double the cost.
Last year I meant to buy AFTER Halloween to get the better price for this year and have everything set which I do recommend, but I got so busy I lost that opportunity, and here we are again. Oh well, my loss will be somebody’s gain but at least I shop wisely for the greatest discounts I can find on the net.
