My yuletide bubs are 21 months, 4 weeks old.
Ok, I promised on Facebook, that I would share what Santa brought me, and some pics of our day. If anybody read about my past birthday in September, Mama P. really, really wanted an embroidery machine. I didn’t get it. I got a computer that had me fooled until all of the wrapping paper came off.
At the end of opening my presents at Christmas, there were three boxes left. One quite large, tucked aside. Could it be? YUP..it was an embroidery machine, and a bunch of extra thread, hoops, and great goodies for me to play with, if only somebody grants me the time. Could Santa bring me a few extra hours in my day?
Also, if you remember my holiday gift guide, not just this year either, I was talking about those journey necklaces. I didn’t care to have one that was 2 ct. and thousands of dollars. I’m more into costume jewelry myself since I can’t kick myself in the arse too hard if it breaks. Just a meaningful token of his affections.
Santa apparently was reading my blog and brought me a beautiful journey necklace. I wanted something to say he still cares, and he came through. He said, ‘Don’t think that I never read your blog. Wink, wink.’ EEK! I’d better watch myself 😯 .
He got me a Brookstone Ultrasonic Jewelry Cleaner. I wanted a jewelry cleaner because some of my sterling jewelry is getting all icked up over time, and needs more then soap and water. Now I have something else to put in it. I got an Ed Hardy tunic. I wanted this one for the past 2 years but it was always too much money. I got some goodies from Sephora and Bath & Body Works. I can smell and look my best. Hey..was that a hint?
I got two lace front wigs. I wanted to see what I’d look like in different colors and styles. I picked them out, but he paid. They weren’t cheap. I get the urge to change my hair color and look once in awhile, but I can’t afford extensions anymore, (not now anyway), and after my last salon experience I’m frightened to color it, so why the heck not try something new? They look real. I got some of those clip in highlights to. They are pretty fun to play with. Not just for the kiddos.
I didn’t get the Thigh Master I wanted but at this point you can get one of those for like $13. No biggie there. He got me the boots I wanted, and some money for me to spend at Charlotte Russe online. Of course, I shop wisely. I can’t remember, I know I’m missing something, but let’s just say Santa was good to me, so Shelly must have been nice this year. Oh yeah, he got me the Victoria’s Secret Pink, bling, yoga pants I saw a few days prior to Christmas at the mall.
They were almost sold out in my size and I was drooling over them, but prob. is…I’m cheap. I could not bring myself to spend $42.50 on 1 pair of pants. Some of you know what I mean. But those pants admittedly stuck inside my head for days. You can’t get them on eBay or even on their site. I thought, ‘Did I screw up? Should I once in awhile be less cheap. I’m deserving 😆 ‘.
The kids got too much junk cluttering up our every room then I can possibly list. I took pics of some, but hub begged me to not drive everybody batty this year and ruin the experience, so I tried my hardest. (GRR!) The biggest hit for my daughter wasn’t the Wii games, it wasn’t the Easy Bake Oven, Monster High Dolls, etc. She loved the 2 pr. of earrings she got, but most of all CLOTHES.
AT 6? Who’d have ever thought it? Why? Because they are from ‘Justice’ and Justice is just the coolest clothing line ever to her and her little friends. It’s like us with Bebe or Ugg, but only at a much, much younger age. She has been wearing the boots I got her from there for days on end like slippers. She’s sick so she hasn’t even left the house.
The clothes, of course, she’s tried them all on. I took pics of her in a few of the outfits. Man does this girl have attitude when dressed in her new duds. YIKES! That store is cute, but it’s damn expensive. To me anyhow. I figured Christmas was a good time to give her something that she was dying for anyways. I know every time we hit the mall now it’ll be, ‘JUSTICE, JUSTICE’. I’ll be like, ‘NOT TODAY, NOT TODAY.’ It was really cute though.
The babies were more disinterested in their gifts then I imagined. I guess I forgot they are still only 21 months old and went over the top as usual. They got some of their gifts at home, and some we packed up and took to grandmas on Christmas Day. What did they like? These cheapie dollar store things that Uncle brought over. HUH? Oh well, they have plenty of time where they will be interested in these other toys. At least they had fun unwrapping. Also, I have a lot of new items to review now.
So our Christmas was nice. How was yours? Great I hope. Now soon we’ll be watching Dick Clark’s Rockin’ New Year’s Eve again. I can’t believe it! That year flew by. Happy almost 2012. (Only hours, not days away now.) I’ll be back with my resolution list soon. Ok some pics.
‘We got the chairs, now where’s the big screen T.V.?’
This girl does NOT like being messy!
‘Wash me, please! Forget the easel, we like the cheap markers!’
You sit on it when it’s out of the box. Not stand on it while it’s in the box. ‘Oh there’s more then a box here?’
More ride ons to ding the walls up with!
‘Who turned out the lights? Maybe it was mom. Even Santa has to sleep.’
12-18 months and look at these outfits hanging off of my petite, little bottoms.
The twins did take down the Christmas tree twice, and undecorated it. Now I see why hub didn’t want to put up the big tree this year, and only allowed for minimal decorating, which stunk.. but I get it. Next year hopefully, they’ll be old enough to possibly leave the tree alone. We can put up our new, big one. This year..someone was bound to get hurt.
Mikayla instantly had to go and model some of her Justice clothing. Didn’t realize that would be so short.
Hate to tell you kiddo, but mommy bought leggins for underneath that. I don’t care what the description says.
I’d have killed for these Twinkle Toe Boots as a child. They are so awesome looking! She preferred the Justice ones. Go figure.
I had a Holly Hobbie oven with a light bulb. Man does that make me feel old.
After less then a week she knows where 1 out of 3 of these Monster High Dolls still are.
Games to hopefully keep her a little bit quiet some times?
Or not with this singing game uncle gave her. I gave him the head’s up though. She enjoys singing. If only they had things like that when I was young. I was singing into my bic pen playing make believe. Times sure have changed! Anyway, uncle gave her some earrings. I bought her earrings as well, but the hinge broke on one of the huggies when I was putting them into a nicer gift box. I hope it can be repaired. I’ve been hiding them from her.
She also got a pair of Twinkle toe shoes and dress shoes. Her feet are set for a year at least. I can’t believe how excited she was over the Justice stuff. Can you tell it gave her attitude, or is it just me?
Ei-ei-ei 😮 .
Christmas Day. Still fighting to get a nice picture with the restless twins.
‘Showin’ off your best side, hey honey?’
Anyways, here is some of mommy’s loot. Oh my son got 4 XBox games, a pair of Air Jordans, a new gaming chair, and some cash to save up for the new Basketball hoop he wants for out front. It was a bit out of Santa’s price range. He deserves it though.
Here is the journey necklace I brought up here, and finally got. Yeah Santa! (I’m not big on real jewelry, but once every 10 years or so, something meaningful..not super costly though, is nice. I don’t mind a guy who sale shops. If there is a guy who sale shops.)
Don’t be scared!
Some gadgets and gizmos here. I’ll know what they do eventually.
A quick 21 month postpartum with twins photo. At 24 months I’m going to do a before, pregnant, and after comparison shoot. It’s going by so fast!
Ok, this post has taken way too long to write. I hope everybody had a great Christmas, and will be having the most rocking New Year EVER!
Wash away the old, and bring on the new!
