I too suffer from stage 4 endometriosis. I was fortunate enough to find a doctor willing to the abdominal scraping, and remove the adhesions connecting my uterus to my bladder, to my bowel to my abdominal wall, and dig out my right ovary from it’s scar cocoon. Thanks to his amazing work I was able to get pregnant (naturally I might add, no drugs) with my boy/girl twins. Too many doctors told me to just give up and have a hysterectomy, too many told me it couldn’t be fixed, too many shrugged their shoulders as if I was the one that was supposed to have the answers. We shouldn’t have to suffer in silence, there needs to be a better way and all doctors need to be on the same page. I wound up on Zoladex, which was a pill injected into my abdomen that shut off all my sex hormones for 3 months at a time. It caused menopause during that time, but INSTANT pain relief, it was really amazing. Not ideal, but for me nothing else worked. Don’t suffer alone, we are all here for you.

My RE had me on Arimidex (Anastrazole?). It’s the medicine they give to breast cancer survivors and supposedly it works to prevent new growth. I can’t really say if it works as I was only on it for a Very short time, but if you’d like to read more: http://endometriosis.org/resources/articles/aromatase/
