Dressing Up Your Twins For Halloween! Cute Costume Ideas!
Halloween Costume Ideas, For Twins!
With Halloween now, a month, and a week and 1/2 away. (Not that I’m counting the moments or anything ), It’s time to start thinking about costume ideas, especially since a lot of us order costumes online, rather then getting ripped off in retail stores, or just because of the lack of selection, and because of how fast time travels, it’s closer to around the corner, then you may think.
On the Internet you can find everything and anything, but much like Christmas, waiting till the last minute, can leave your choices limited, and end up costing you more. (Do we ever learn our lessons come Christmas eve, or the final days before Halloween?) Well, we should, and that is why I’m talking costumes NOW. Sooner rather then later.
Dressing up your twins year round, can be so much fun (Especially when they are small and still allow you to). Dressing them up identically, doesn’t always have to be the plan though, even in the baby days. You can do a coordinating costume ‘Thing’ instead. Me, for my girl’s first Halloween, I THINK I have decided on matching costumes, these:
I just find that soo precious, I don’t think I’ll be able to resist ordering two of these, online of course, and save over $20 a piece from store prices.
My second favorite choice, thus far is, this little lamb costume. Again, I’d be using two. I want to dress them alike the 1st year, but everyone is different.
I’m still partial to the 1st, of course it costs a lot more. My luck naturally. We’ll see what happens, but I want to act fast! It’s usually cold here in NY for Halloween, and the husband is anal, so something that covers head to toe, is needed.
Some cute ideas for costumes for twins are:
(Please note, I discuss more costumes then I can possible post!)
#1- You could have a lady bug or bumble bee, paired up with a flower, or just a lady bug and bumble bee. Two of God’s cutest, and smallest little creatures. Nothing wrong with having two of the same, like the little flower blossom costumes I have been eyeballing since pregnancy!
#2- Twin girls could be two angels (Because we know they always are!!) HA HA! Or an angel & a devil, for boy/girl twins. That would work with my 2 girls, !
OR…you could go middle of the road with this absolutely adorable, and quite funny costume. I really like this one:
#3- Twin boys could be pirates! Argh…walk the plank maties!!
Perhaps a pirate boy, and a pirate wench, (female) costume, for your little girl twin. Me and my daughter were pirates (Girl versions), a few years back. It was really cute. I’ll add a pic shortly, and place it below!
#4- Super Heros! LOTS of potential combos here. Twin boys, can be two different, or one of the same super heros. super man, spider man, batman, etc. If you have boy/girl twins, a funny idea but really adorable one, would be say a boy as superman and the girl as wonder woman. You could also do super girl if they make such a costume. Batman & Robin are also classics, for boy/boy twins!
*Princess Leia and Luke Skywalker, or Darth Vader, would be cute for boy/girl twins as well.*
#5- Thing 1 and Thing 2, is always a popular unisex option for twins. Not my style, but a cute idea
#6- A witch and a wizard for boy/girl twins, or a witch & a warlock. Perhaps a witch & an angel for girl/ girl twins, being that 1 is usually a bit more be-witching then the other
#7- Two of the princesses for twin girls. One could be Cinderella or Ariel, while the other could be Sleeping beauty or Jasmin. Who doesn’t love a pretty princess? If you have boy girl twins, Aladdin & Jasmin would make a big hit!
Cinderella and Prince Charming would be lovely. Maybe even Tiana of The Princess and The Frog, and your little boy is the frog. How cute would that be? (No worries, he’ll forgive you!). Maybe Belle & The beast. Snow white & one of the dwarfs even! Lots of great combinations there.
#8- 2 big ‘ol pumpkins, are always a cute idea for baby twinfants. Mom and dad could dress up as farmers, in a plaid top and jeans, with a straw hat. Very simple to do. I did that with pig tails for my daughters 1st Halloween. She was a strawberry and I was the farmer’s wife who picked her from the field! (I like dressing up to:)
#9- Want to dress your babies up like furry wildlife, or perhaps a domesticated pet? Well nothing is cuter, then a furry little squirrel, or pussy cat costume. For girls, chipmunks, bunny rabbits, and cats are great. For boys, perhaps a bear, or a puppy dog. A ferocious lion, maybe paired with a twin sister lion. The possibilities are endless, with all of the cute animal costumes, available to buy.
#10- How about a food or condiment? Ketchup and mustard, would make a cute splash! Perhaps two little hot dogs, or a hot dog and burger. Oh wow, I’m getting hungry just thinking about it!! It would be really cute. Even a hot dog paired with a mustard costume, would be adorable also, and very unique and funny! Any of these can be for boys or girls, which is awesome. Maybe you can use them again int he future, *Wink, wink!*
#11) Nothing is more precious then two sweet, little, peas in a pod, or Hersey kisseses. A definite popular, ’Can’t miss’ costume idea, for your duo.
#12) How about Dorothy from the Wizard of OZ and a lion cub for your other twin. The tin man or scarecrow may be harder to find, (I take that back, I easily found the tin man online), but if you have triplets or more, what a fabulous way to celebrate one of the greatest movies of our time, by including even MORE OZ characters!
#13) How about our beloved Disney cartoon characters? If I had boy/girl twins I think I’d got for an adorable, Minnie mouse/ Mickey mouse pair. Also Daffy and Daisy would be cute for boy/girl twins as well.
Daisy and Minnie are cute for two girls or Mickey and Donald for boys, if you are looking to coordinate. Don’t forget there is also goofy to!!
#14) Piglet & Winnie the pooh, would be adorable as well. MANY ideas and choices to choose from, so have fun with it! Also as shown here, Eeyore and Tiger, are worthy as well. of making some great mix and match costumes.
