Cartoon Network’s Almost Naked Animals Comes To DVD Review

f you are looking for a new show to watch along with your child that won’t bore the heck out of you, and actually engages your sweetie pie for a substantial amount of time, not zoning anybody out in the process. The perfect cartoon for everybody ages 6 and up is now coming to DVD, and is already one of the top shows on the Cartoon Network in both the USA and in Canada. It’s called Almost Naked Animals.
The name alone creates a buzz, as my daughter immediately questioned me about it until the DVD began. Then it was quite obvious. No there isn’t any true nudity, but the animals do enjoy galavanting around in their tighty whities. Children tend to find this quite humorous. The title of volume 1 is It’s my party. This rockin’ clan can certainly party down with the best of them at the Banana Cabana.
My daughter actually watching a DVD the whole way through. Who’d have thought it possible?
To commemorate the viewing with good ol’ mom, Mikayla wore the t-shirt generously provided in her goodie bag.
I found myself laughing aloud, which admittedly is not an easy feat. (I tend to have a high comical tolerance, if you will.) I’m quite happy that there is a show where I know she won’t be watching anything that’s too old for her, yet still comical enough to hold interest. I see I will be able to leave the room, do some chores, and rest assured she is watching something appropriate.
There is some ‘Tom & Jerry’, cartoonish-type ‘violence’, but nothing out of the ordinary, nor anything we didn’t grow up seeing ourselves that I feel is not good for big kids. This is the reason why (I believe) it’s geared towards 6+. I also think that having the show available on the TV, not only on disc, is also a huge bonus for a budding fan.
