(What Works..What Won’t.)

My beautiful babies are 27 months and 4 weeks, 1 day old.
Dr. Paul Frank is a caring and very professional 5th Ave. dermatologist that won’t sugar coat, nor will ever dare attempt to make you spend money needlessly. He’s definitely one of the good guys. I should know I have been to plenty of the bad ones, and spent much money without any results. Perhaps, the bad are simply the ‘normal ones’. Not the exceptional kind. Doctors like this are a very rare find.
It’s worth the trip and then some to visit his Manhattan office, even from hundreds of miles away, as people do do, including celebrities. His prices are extremely competitive, especially for his expertise, location, and clientele. I just can not say enough good things about him. All I can say is that he had better live long passed me, because I’m in it for the long haul
.
Besides his very obvious qualifications and very personable bedside manner, his staff are always warm, courteous, and helpful which is HUGE, as women (even a man) can feel very uneasy when dealing with such personal body issues. And his own lovely sister Ann Frank helps in the office and is always a divine pleasure to chat with.
You are always greeted with warm and inviting smiles at 5th Ave. Dermatology.
It’s always a clean & classy environment
Anyway, a fairly new concern for me personally, and I’m wondering if it’s ‘birth control pill’ related since the timing fits and I have read it is a possibility, has been the ugly appearance of cellulite on the backs and then worse yet, the fronts of my thighs. I’ve been very self-conscious about this. I am thin, I am active, in shape otherwise, I like to think. I’m over 2 years postpartum, so why this is happening recently is anybody’s guess. It’s quite distressing and has affected my self-esteem deeply.
I know there are others in my sinking boat that forever feel hopeless, but in reading Dr. Frank’s beauty blog recently, I see there may still not yet be a cure for cellulite, but reason to hope that there are indeed things that can REALLY help in this arena. It may not be just a pipe dream any longer. Even if it’s not 100% I am certainly game in learning more about it.
Cellulite of the upper thighs example.
I’ll be in personally to see Dr. Frank and talk about options the week after the 4th of July holiday. I need to go for my under-eyes anyway..(over-due). He’s made a world of difference for me there. (I was forever tired looking despite sleep.) Until then, let me share his post about cellulite where he keeps it completely REAL, but still offers hope. He even tells you what won’t work, so don’t get suckered into expensive treatments that are proven to be ineffective.
Here are his personal opinions and experiences when it comes to treating cellulite. (Never a woman’s friend, but a very common occurrence for sure.) You can visit his beauty blog to see more on all women’s body and facial concerns. Some that affect the male gender as well. You have my personal word that you are safe, sound, and in the very best of hands if you should choose to visit him about any of your issues, whether male or female, face or body. He’s hand’s down the best!
**I am writing this on my own accord. Nothing to gain here, so you know. I simply want to brag and share information with my readers. Mostly moms much like myself.**

Its Spring time…Turn a page of any beauty and fashion magazine in the last month, and chances are you have seen every cosmeceutical product and technology on the market claiming to treat any cosmetic concern on the face and body. As we approach the summer months preparing to bare more skin, cellulite is one of the most common complaints amongst women.
For decades, the industry has sought to find a cure for cellulite, a dimpling of the skin, which can be caused by several factors including diet, stress, and genetic predisposition in particular. While numerous technologies exist to treat cellulite, none have proven to have a long lasting effect.
Cellulaze is a device produced by Cynosure, the makers of Smartlipo, and has gained much media recognition recently. This “new” technology is a surgical procedure and uses a laser fiber to break up or ‘subcise’ the connective tissue under the skin that causes cellulite while tightening the skin. This technology is similar to the Smartlipo device which is used for liposuction; A device that breaks up and removes the fat while tightening the skin.
Cellulaze treatments can range from $2,500-$10,000 depending on the areas treated. In my opinion, the present Cellulaze technology offers no long term resolution for a problem that is difficult to treat while warranting the cost of the procedure.
Thermage continues to be a successful option for tightening the skin. Used In conjunction with fillers and subcision, cellulite can be corrected and maintained. For larger areas of cellulite and fat removal, liposuction remains a more long term option for evening out the skin. While I am hopeful that technology industry leaders will offer a more permanent option to treat cellulite, at the moment the cost-benefit ratio is not enough to promote Cellulaze as the end all for cellulite.

Do you want to learn more about how you can start feeling better in your own skin? (I know I will keep you posted on my end.) Visit Dr. Frank’s personal website: http://www.pfrankmd.com/ .
**Note: I’ll also return shortly with the chronicles of my own cellulite journey with photos, emotions, etc. and hopefully some diminishing results. Not to mention how you can try & help stop cellulite before it comes, or at least minimize it, through proper diet, a proper body fat ratio, exercise, (etc.). And also what causes cellulite and how to fight the good fight from home. When that isn’t enough and all else fails, Dr. Frank has a better answer than we have seen in the past for treating this annoying, cosmetic distraction. I’m feeling quite hopeful.**
Also, to my many readers who are fed up with their lax body skin, and abdominal ‘twin skin’ after birthing their baby(ies), Dr. Frank offers hope without cutting of any kind! Just look at these results. They really impressed me.

This is really great to know since my belly looks like the before photo after twins. It’s very true that honest and good doctors are hard to find. Thanks for sharing.
