A Poem For My Birthday Girls. The Twins Turn TWO!

My beautiful twins turned 2 today
(Mixed emotions.)
For two years I’ve held you close in my arms,
I’ve dried up your tears, and sang countless songs.
We’ve laughed and we’ve cried, we’ve survived through it all,
I’ve kissed every pain, and consoled every fall.
For two years I’ve found, my heart feels complete,
I’ve passed every test, seen how strong I can be.
My life is now full, with my bundles of love,
Happy Birthday my dears, my great gift from above.
Love mom

And this morning my Annie-belle rushed into the bathroom, pointed to the toilet, and cried out, ‘ Poo poo.’ I thought she’d just sit there, but to my surprise, she actually DID go poo poo! I was so impressed when she ripped off some toilet paper and wiped her hiney (as best a baby could) and released it into the toilet.
Following that was a WHOOSH as she flushed the toilet and said, ‘bye bye’ to her poo. She looked so proud as was I since I wasn’t even training her yet. She’s a super smart chickadee.
Here is a picture. I used the party hat for privacy issues, of course.
YAY!
Sister Allie came along and tried to lend a helping hand, though Annie had it covered.

Man does time fly.
Then…..
Now….
Babies in the hospital getting ready to come home 2 short years ago. Then 2 weeks later!
This is today at their b-day lunch. As you can see Annie grabbed then dropped my glass. Waiters watch out when we come along.
Allie got all scratched up by her feisty sister only hours before. I was so upset. I filed their nails the night before, *SIGH*.
The girls refused to sit still in the high chairs after opening their cards, and one was screaming aloud. It was fun for all of the other patrons to
……NOT!
I will share pics of them with their cakes and gifts and such in the next few days. Their real ‘formal’ party will be on the 24th. Yes, I know..I’m crazy, but Winter parties are hard at this age. Go elsewhere and you don’t have to clean up or run yourself ragged. One more year of that!
Happy 2nd birthday my loves!!
