17 Twin Birthday Party Themes
17 Twin Birthday Party Themes
My ‘near their birthday’ twinkies are holding steady at 35 months & 3 weeks old.
As my twins approach their 3rd birthday all too quickly; It simply doesn’t feel real. The date on the calendar reignites the subject of twin birthday parties and themes in my mind.
It’s funny because even at the tail end of two here, my twins will already agree to disagree on what theme they want for their party. Allie even disagrees that she will be sharing her birthday with Annie AT ALL! (Woe is me…ALREADY?)
Even at this age different opinions, desires, and wishes are becoming apparent and made known. First and second milestones are easiest to decide on. It only gets tougher as you go and your twins voice themselves more and more.
I do think, however, I maybe gave them too much input on the topic for only turning 3 soon. While you still have the upper hand in it, what are some creative, unique and fun ideas for your twins’ birthday party?
17 Awesome Twin Party Themes
1) Two peas in a pod
It’s always a classic. I found that theme just perfect for the twins’ 1st birthday. Needless to say, that is what we used.
2) Divas, prince/ princess, Peter Pan/ Tinker Bell, or fairies party theme
One will work great for all pairs, ages & stages.
3) Noah’s Ark
All of the animals were brought to the ark in pairs, so it makes perfect sense. Very cute for the first couple of years most especially.
4) Thing 1 & Thing 2
Also, very cute for those first few years of life. It works for any sex combination.
5) Lion and the lamb
There is one of each in every twin pair, however, don’t be surprised when they switch on you. (Oh, and they will 😉 !)
6) Raggedy Ann & Andy
Cute for different sex twins.
7) Sugar & Spice for twincess duos. Snips and Snails for other pairs.
8 ) The old west
Good for all sex pairs.
It can be really hammed up with a cute pair of cowboy boots, and maybe an added hat for extra effect. Get your cowgirls, cowboys, or cowgirl and cowboy together for some good ‘ol western fun!
9) TV themed party
Dora/Diego, Max/Ruby, Minnie & Mickey Mouse, Hello Kitt(ies), etc.
10) Superhero party
Since there are superheroes of both sexes this can work for any twin pair and is especially nice for slightly older twins.
11) Two little monkeys
Cute as can be from birth until 3.
12) Sesame street FAV characters
For mine it’d be Elmo & Cookie Monster
13) Personalized themes
Same or different initials for each child (depending), but same color theme. Or split pink for girls, blue or green for your boy. They even have themes you can personalize with an actual photo of your child or children. It costs more, but how personal can you get? Same party but separate recognition.
14) Stripes & polka-dots
Works with any set of twins and any age group. Just adjust the color scheme and you are good to go!
15) Minnesota Twins
Especially great for twin boys, however, little girls may also be baseball fans down the line.
16) Spy Kids
Fun for boy/girl twin pairs. Especially ones ages (roughly) 5 & up. This theme leaves open some very interesting and entertaining party games for guests.
17) American Girl/ Bitty Twin Party
Great for bigger girls who love their American Girl dolls or Bitty Twin babies.
